Effective date: July 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Peter Nuako, a sole proprietor (“Amamrefie SizeChart,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when Shopify merchants install or use the Amamrefie SizeChart application (the “App”).
1. Scope
This Policy applies to information processed through the App and related support communications. It does not govern Shopify’s own processing or a merchant’s independent handling of information. Shopify’s services are governed by Shopify’s own terms and privacy notices.
2. Information We Process
To provide the App, we may process:
- Merchant and store information: Shopify store domain, Shopify store identifier, installation status, plan status, and basic account or store information made available by Shopify.
- Authentication and security information: Shopify access tokens, session identifiers, granted access scopes, token expiration information, and related authentication records.
- App content and configuration: Size-chart names, measurements, rows, columns, units, display settings, selected collection identifiers and titles, product identifiers, and app metafield configuration.
- Billing information: Subscription identifier, plan name, subscription status, trial status, and billing-period information supplied through Shopify. We do not directly collect or store payment-card information.
- Operational information: Server requests, timestamps, error details, diagnostic events, IP address or device/browser information that may be included in infrastructure logs, and information needed to prevent abuse and maintain security.
- Support communications: Information a merchant voluntarily provides when requesting help.
The App’s current core functionality does not request or require Shopify customer names, mailing addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers, order histories, or payment information.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Authenticate merchants and maintain secure sessions.
- Create, save, publish, display, and synchronize size charts.
- Associate charts with Shopify collections and products.
- Administer Free and Pro plans and Shopify-managed subscriptions.
- Respond to support requests.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and technical failures.
- Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App.
- Comply with applicable law, enforce our Terms, and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell personal information or use merchant or customer information for third-party behavioral advertising.
4. Shopify Customer Data
Amamrefie SizeChart is designed to operate without protected Shopify customer data. The App implements Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks even though it does not intentionally collect or store customer records.
If we receive a valid customer data request or customer redaction request from Shopify, the App authenticates and acknowledges the request. Because the App does not maintain customer records for its current functionality, there is ordinarily no customer record in our database to provide or delete.
If photo-based body measurement or another customer-data feature is introduced in the future, this Policy and the App’s consent process will be updated before that feature is made available.
5. Legal Bases and Roles
Where data-protection law distinguishes between a controller and processor, the Shopify merchant generally determines why customer or store information is used, and we process applicable information to provide the App on the merchant’s behalf. We may act as an independent controller for our own account administration, billing records, security, legal compliance, and support operations.
Where required, processing is based on performance of our agreement with the merchant, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the App, compliance with legal obligations, or consent.
6. Service Providers and Disclosures
We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to operate the App, complete a transaction requested by a merchant, protect rights and security, or comply with law. Current service providers include:
- Shopify: App installation, authentication, APIs, metafields, webhooks, and subscription billing.
- Google Cloud: Cloud Run application hosting, Cloud SQL database hosting, secret management, build services, and operational logging.
- GitHub: Private source-code hosting. Production merchant data and production secrets are not intended to be stored in the source repository.
We may also disclose information:
- To professional advisers under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- To comply with law, legal process, or valid governmental requests.
- To investigate fraud, security incidents, or violations of our Terms.
- In connection with a business transfer, subject to appropriate protections and applicable law.
We do not currently use a separate third-party error-monitoring provider.
7. Retention and Deletion
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the App, maintaining security and business records, resolving disputes, and complying with law.
- When the App is uninstalled, the App deletes stored Shopify session records and marks the shop as uninstalled.
- When Shopify sends a valid shop-redaction request, the App deletes the shop record and any remaining sessions from our application database.
- Operational logs and backups may remain for a limited period according to configured Google Cloud retention and backup schedules before deletion or replacement.
- Information required for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or legal compliance may be retained where permitted or required by law.
Merchants may request deletion by contacting us. Some information controlled by Shopify must be managed through Shopify.
8. International Processing
The App is operated from Pennsylvania, United States, and uses Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States, including the `us-east1` region. Information may therefore be processed in the United States or other locations where Shopify or Google and their subprocessors operate. Where required, transfers are handled using legally recognized safeguards.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including HTTPS transport, managed secret storage, access controls, database authentication, and separation of source code from production secrets. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Privacy Rights and Requests
Depending on applicable law, an individual may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or information about processing, and may have the right to object or withdraw consent.
Requests involving a Shopify customer should ordinarily begin with the Shopify merchant with whom the customer has a relationship. Merchants and other eligible individuals may contact us directly using the information below. We may need to verify the requester’s identity and authority before responding.
11. Children
The App is offered to Shopify merchants and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the App.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the App, our practices, service providers, or legal requirements. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or other reasonable means.
